"My wonderful model TJ was available today so I was able to finally finish this, the scariest clown in all the circus! In reality TJ is warm, funny and sparklingly intelligent, but he also has drama training and was able to channel the malevolence for this disturbing clown. I feel the clenched fist makes it extra scary, and the last photo is how the painting looked this morning; he was originally wearing a silver skeleton hand bracelet, but several people didn’t get it, and I felt it was a distraction from the theme so it went."
