"Back in September I posted a couple of paintings from the Royal Shakespeare Company, when I was Artist-In-Residence there twenty years ago. Here is another, with Sir Nigel Hawthorne as King Lear carrying on the lifeless corpse of his murdered daughter played by Robin Weaver at the end of the play. I saw every performance of this run from the wings and witnessed the difficulty it was to carry an adult woman onto the stage each time for an actor then over 70 years old." Binnie, December 2021.
