Remarks
This print was commissioned by a Swiss gallery in a very small edition of only 20 impressions. The composition was inspired by Torii Kodondo's print Keshō (Make-up), which Binnie had recently acquired; and by the gallery owner's tattoo of a hō-ō bird on his shoulder, Katherine Martin.
The gallery was Galerie Jewels of Asia in Zürich, owned by Damian Christinger.
A/P 2 lacks details appearing in other A/P and 1/20.
This particular phoenix tattoo was designed by Hori-yoshi.
