"Takagi Noh means Noh plays by firelight, and this performance of the play Shōjō (The Drinking Sprites) was given in the open air in the precincts of a Shinto shrine. There were a number of large metal braziers full of burning logs and with the moonlight it created a beautiful atmosphere in which to appreciate the stylised elegance of a masked Noh performance."
